'Leprechauns' in Milford Sound for Christchurch Earthquake Appeal
18 March 2011
Dozens of St Patrick’s Day ‘leprechauns’ kicked up their heels in the annual Milford Sound Bridge to Bar fun run last night, to raise money for the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.
Seventy competitors, mainly local tourism staff, made a donation to either run or walk the five kilometre course, followed by an auction.
Tourism companies from Milford Sound and Queenstown donated more than $4,000 worth of prizes, that included an NZSki season pass, evening at Mitre Peak Lodge and three excursions from Real Journeys worth over $1,000.
The evening, sponsored and organised by Real Journeys staff, raised over $2,200 for the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.
