Milford Sound Scenic Cruises Fleet Being Upgraded For Summer 2010
Real Journeys Milford Sound Scenic Cruises vessel, the Milford Monarch, is undergoing a major refit to the café, bar and servery areas in time for the summer 2010 season.
The $150,000 upgrade will see new streamlined café bar areas installed on the bridge and main decks. These will modernise the vessel’s appearance and provide an enhanced experience for passengers.
Planning is also underway for a similar revamp on the Milford Monarch’s sister Scenic Cruises vessel, the Milford Sovereign.
On both vessels the popular hot international buffet option will continue to be served on the lower level and will not be impacted by the upgrade.
The new café bar servery areas will provide an improved service for the growing number of independent Scenic Cruises passengers who choose to purchase sandwiches, snacks, hot and cold drinks on board and to collect their pre booked obento or picnic lunches.
The upgrade work is being undertaken at Real Journeys Bluff Workshop and is the latest investment by the company in its Milford Sound based operation.
Earlier this summer season Real Journeys launched a new $2.5 million vessel, the MV Sinbad. This vessel joined the company’s Milford Sound Nature Cruises fleet and has proved to be very popular with passengers.
