Your personalised high country tour begins with meeting your guide/driver for the day. You will then board the historic TSS Earnslaw and cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak, whilst enjoying stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
You will travel in a modern mini van along the scenic back road to Mavora Lakes, learning about the pioneering farming in this golden tussock covered high country.
We stop for lunch at the picturesque Mavora Lakes and spend time exploring the beech forest, swing bridge and some Lord of the Rings sites.
On arrival back to Walter Peak, you will join the farm yard tour and then enjoy afternoon tea at the Colonel’s Homestead, before boarding the TSS Earnslaw for the return cruise back to Queenstown.
