Doubtful Sound
Doubtful Sound, located in a World Heritage Area, is an overwhelming place.
You can feel the power of nature here - the remoteness, the wildness and the peace. Known for its wilderness and wildllife, Doubtful Sound is the second largest of the 14 fiords in Fiordland National Park and it is three times longer and 10 times larger than Milford Sound. Stewart Island Experience
Stewart Island Experience is a wholly owned subsidiary of Real Journeys Ltd. In addition to the ferry service between Bluff and Stewart Island, we operate coach connections to and from Bluff from Invercargill, Te Anau and Queenstown.
We offer a range of island excursions - including Paterson Inlet Cruises, visiting the renowned wildlife sanctuary of Ulva Island; and Marine Nature Cruises, exploring the coastal marine area via catamaran and semi-submersible. We also operate Village & Bays Tours, Guided Walks, plus rental cars, motor scooters and mountain bikes are available for hire.

Stewart Island Lodge
Stewart Island Lodge is situated just a five minute walk from the village at Halfmoon Bay. The lodge has commanding views over Halfmoon Bay and across the ocean. The Lodge's garden is home to many native birds, including kaka (native parrots), which may be viewed from the terrace.
