Combine the Stewart Island Ferry and a trip to Ulva Island with this fantastic combo deal and save!
Board our high-speed catamaran in Bluff for the one-hour trip across the Foveaux Strait to Oban on Stewart Island. During the crossing, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, with mollymawks a regular sight soaring above the wake of the ferry.
Comprehensive commentaries provide information on the interesting landmarks commonly seen, including Dog Island Lighthouse, Ruapuke Island, the Titi Islands and Mt Anglem - Stewart Island’s highest point.
No trip to Stewart Island would be complete without visiting Ulva Island, a spectacular, open bird sanctuary that has been predator-free since 1997.
View the stunning scenery of Paterson Inlet and view its hidden coves and unspoilt beaches en route to renowned wildlife sanctuary Ulva Island. Here you will disembark for a 45-minute guided walk through the islands native bush. As its predator-free, native birdlife and plants have begun to thrive here again as they once did. It’ll give you a taste for the real New Zealand and what New Zealand once was. A bird-watchers paradise, you'll have the chance to spot robins, saddlebacks, yellowheads and maybe even a kiwi or two!
