Experience two 'must-dos' of Queenstown with an exhilarating 25-minute Jet Boat cruise on Lake Wakatipu followed by enjoying the views at a slower pace aboard the historic 107-year-old steamship TSS Earnslaw.
Departing from Queenstown bay, you first jump on a Go Orange Jet Boat and head out for 25 minutes of speed, thrills and plenty of those famous 360-degree spins. Your highly-skilled driver will get you up close and personal with the edge of the lake, skimming past the trees and obstacles up the Frankton arm at speeds of up to 95kmph.
Once back in Queenstown, make your way to Steamer Wharf and board the vintage steamship before departing on a leisurely 45-minute cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak on the South-western shores of the lake. Here you have the option of disembarking and going on a guided farmyard walk where you will get to see highland cattle, sheep, deer and alpacas, and get an insight into what life is like on a kiwi high-country farm. On the way back to the boat you will also have time to stroll through the award-winning gardens of the Colonel's Homestead.
There is also the option of taking high-tea on board the TSS Earnslaw while you are moored at Walter Peak.
All the elements of the day's itinerary run seamlessly to ensure the best possible experience and maximising your time in this beautiful region.
