Real Journeys makes significant internal appointment

After undergoing an executive recruitment process for the newly created Director of Sales position Real Journeys has appointed internal candidate Ryan Ingram. Ryan has been International Sales Manager – Australia, India and Japan for the past three years and prior to that worked for 13 years for Kirra Tours, a New Zealand travel wholesaler.

TSS Earnslaw makes nostalgic journey to head of lake to mark centenary

The heritage steamer the TSS Earnslaw continued its 100th birthday celebrations during Labour Weekend, making a nostalgic journey tracing its original freight and passenger route to the Lake Wakatipu high country lakeside stations and Glenorchy on Sunday (October 21), attracting almost 300 people, many with strong links with the Head of the Lake and the TSS Earnslaw.

Queenstown turned the clock back 100 years today (October 18) when a large crowd, dominated by school children waving flags, lined Queenstown’s Steamer Wharf to welcome the heritage steamship the TSS Earnslaw, as she marked her official centenary by sailing on Lake Wakatipu from Kingston to Queenstown re-enacting her maiden passenger voyage held on October 18 1912.

The TSS Earnslaw centenary celebrations were officially launched on Sunday (October 14), during a night of nostalgia, when more than a hundred past and present staff members gathered on board the heritage steamer to mark her century of service.
