Best Price Guarantee Terms & Conditions

For a valid claim under the Best Price Guarantee, it must fulfil the terms & conditions listed below:

  • Verification: The Best Price Guarantee applies only to prices both advertised and available to the general public on an authorised agent, non-Real Journeys website at the time of verification. We can accept English, Chinese or Japanese websites.
  • Authorised agent: The other travel booking site must be an authorised agent of Real Journeys. Real Journeys has the final say in the legitimacy of the other website.
  • New Zealand Dollars: The rates from the other website/company must be quoted or paid for in NZ dollars.
  • Promotions: This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other special offers, EXCEPT Kids Go FREE (when applicable).
  • Claims: All claims are subject to verification by Real Journeys and we must be able to verify all elements of the claim and the required terms found on the non-Real Journeys website at the time the claim is processed and verify that cost at the time of verification is lower than those found on the Real Journeys website. Real Journeys does not accept screen shots as sole evidence, it must include the website address where you found the lower price. This is due to the ease of modification or alteration of such imagery. The lower rate must be available for booking at the time you contact us, as determined by our customer service representatives.
  • Rights: Unless prohibited by law, we reserve the right to modify, restrict availability or withdraw the Best Price Guarantee or any of the terms at any time, for any or no reason, and without prior notice or liability to you. Our Best Price Guarantee Terms and Conditions that are in effect at the time of your booking will determine your eligibility under the Best Price Guarantee.
  • FAQs: All of our FAQs in relation to the Best Price Guarantee must also be fulfilled. You should at all times refer to the most recent version of the Best Price Guarantee’s FAQs on
  • Employees: Employees of any Real Journeys company or subsidiary are not eligible for the Best Price Guarantee.
  • Single claims: Once a valid claim has been made and approved by Real Journeys for a specific date and departure time, no further claims by the same person or anyone in the same household will be accepted. Guests are only able to claim once, regardless of location / type of experience booked.
  • Resale: Resale of your booking via the Best Price Guarantee is strictly prohibited. In the event we believe that a booking eligible for the Best Price Guarantee has been resold, or the Guarantee is otherwise being intentionally abused or manipulated to circumvent its intent, we reserve the right to reject future Best Price Guarantee claims from any persons who participated in such actions.
  • Disputes: Any disputes arising out of these Terms and Conditions or the offer of the Best Price Guarantee shall be resolved individually, and shall be governed by the laws of New Zealand.
  • Booked itinerary: Travel must be completed in accordance with the booked itinerary to be eligible to receive the discount. Changed bookings are not eligible to receive the discount.
  • Abuse of Best Price Guarantee: At any time up to the date of your travel with us, we reserve the right to revoke any and all benefits of the guarantee if it is found that a customer has attempted to or has violated or circumvented the Best Price Guarantee Terms & Conditions.

The Best Price Guarantee does NOT apply to:

  • Existing reservations not booked via the Real Journeys website (
  • Package rates (e.g. which include a combination of transport, accommodation, dining, spa packages, transfers, activities, etc).
  • Unpublished or negotiated rates - including membership, partnership and rewards programs, corporate discounts, negotiated rates, group, rewards program, loyalty program, incentive, meeting, convention, special events, or other rates that are not available to the general public (e.g. direct mail or email solicitations)
  • Reservations made within 24 hours of travel.
  • Taxes, gratuities, service charges, early departure fees, or other fees and incidental charges.
  • Price disparities due to fluctuations, rounding, or differences in the currency exchange rates.
  • Post-pay bookings (where payment is taken at the time of your arrival/stay).
  • For bookings on websites where the carrier, property, rental car company, itinerary or similar booking details are unknown until after purchase. You must meet all requirements imposed on the lower price (if any), including, without limitation, residency, regional and age-related requirements.
  • Rates from websites where you call to get the rate, or from an e-mail that you received.
