Originally from Christchurch, Rachel made the move to Queenstown over 10 years ago. She has been with Real Journeys since 2011 and in the event industry for over 8 years.  She also holds qualifications in Hospitality, Marketing and Event Management.

Rachel loves the outdoors, and when she isn’t out and about telling everyone all the news from Real Journeys, she can often be seen hiking, running or on her mountain bike.

Sarah Moreton

Event Sales Executive

Originally from the UK, leaving the suburbs of London to travel, Sarah stumbled upon Queenstown back in 2007 and never made it back!  With Team Leader roles in both Hospitality and Sales and a passion for the Leisure and Tourism industry, Sarah has been with Real Journeys since 2012.  She joined the Events team in early 2017 and prides herself on attention to detail.

Sarah loves ‘the outdoors’ and is passionate about a sustainable environment.  When not at work she competes in local Cross Country Mountain Bike events and is most often in the mountains training, hiking, snowboarding or practicing yoga.

From Toronto - Canada, Rochelle moved to Queenstown in 2018 and started with  Real Journeys as her first employer in July that year. With a degree in Economics and a wealth of  experience in hospitality, aviation and legal; Rochelle is passionate about event planning from inception to execution.

A self-proclaimed foodie, you will most often catch Rochelle enjoying the fabulous food & wine our backyard has to offer. Rochelle loves a challenge and is always keen to try something new.

Originally from Germany, Sophie made the move to New Zealand in 2016 and soon made Queenstown her permanent home. With her background being in the tourism industry, she joined the Events team in 2019. Sophie shares an extensive knowledge across our whole family of brands. She is very passionate about Real Journeys has to offer and cannot wait to make your event special!

Sophie loves to be out and about to explore the backyard on either her bike or snowboard. She loves to explore amazing places in the region and has therefore plenty of recommendations. Don’t hesitate to give her a call to discuss your event.

Clare Hitchin

Hailing from another country full of sheep (Wales), Clare feels pretty at home in New Zealand.  She moved to ‘The Land of the Long White Cloud’ in 2009 and made Queenstown her home in 2010.  She started at Real Journeys in May 2016 and has a long background in Hospitality, most recently in Conference and Wedding Management.  She likes to think out of the box and come up with unique and memorable ways to make your event a success.
